Tonight is the night of a very special performance at a very special place to enjoy some great Christmas music. Please join the Gateway Men’s Chorus at the Edison Theatre on the campus of Washington University for an awesome concert. This show will leave you with lasting memories. It is a special night in our hearts as well as our friends, family, and supporters. Take a little time this holiday season to be thankful for something. We the Chorus are thankful for a great bunch of men that can sing wonderfully. We have a board of directors that is supportive and making the chorus grow. Please join us either tonight December 11 or tomorrow night December 12 for our Holiday Hit Parade performances. You will not want to miss this. One last thing to be thankful for and that is our wonderful Artistic Director Dr. Jeffrey R. Carter. He is truly one talented and musically inclined man. Just one more day before the huge, entertaining, and magical Gateway Men’s Chorus Holiday Hit Parade Christmas show. Gather all your friends invite new ones and bring them down to the Edison Theatre on the campus of Washington University for a truly heartwarming Christmas concert. It will keep you in your seats and singing along with the Chorus. It is one remarkable performance. The men of the Chorus have been working on this show since September. We are eager and excited to perform for friends, family, and new people that have never seen the Chorus perform. I remember back when the Chorus first started rehearsing for this holiday show. We all were nervous and new nothing about what would take place. Now we are just three days away from the first show. We have come a long way as a group. The memorization is there. The choreography is there. The dance parts are in place. The Harmonix, and Eufonix are ready. Come join us for a memorable concert performance this coming weekend December 11 and 12 at 8 p.m. It will be a show you will not want to miss. I has all you will need to inspire and leave with your heart uplifted. The Chorus as a whole also is supporting Santa’s Helpers. Bring a gift to support the less fortunate. If you are looking for a Christmas show with lots of laughter and great music, then join us the Gateway Men’s Chorus a week from today as we open our 23rd season with two spellbounding concerts. These two shows will be a Christmas show to remember. It has plenty to offer for your musical enjoyment. There are traditional songs along with some surprises. Be sure to purchase your tickets through our website or by coming to the shows next weekend. If you like the first show you will want to come back for the Saturday show. The first concert of the 23rd season of the Gateway Men’s Chorus is upon us. On December 11 and 12 at the Edison Theatre on the campus of Washington University the theatre will come alive with Christmas cheer. If you have never heard the Gateway Men’s Chorus sing, now is the time to join us. It will be a truly moving and magical concert. It will be entertaining as well as comical. You will laugh, cry, and be joyous all in one show. Just four weeks away!

If you haven’t noticed the Category, I’m Justin! I’m still one of the newer members of the GMC, but I’m hoping to be long-standing.

There are a lot of firsts for me at our upcoming holiday concert, and I’m incredibly excited.

Holiday Hit Parade will mark my first complete concert cycle with the Gateway Men’s Chorus. I joined for the GMC’s spring concert last year, and the only thing that’s disappointed me so far is the fact that I missed out on becoming a part of the chorus sooner! It still amazes me how quickly a this new group of wonderful people has fitted itself into my life.

I’ve also signed on as a member of the GMC’s small ensemble, Harmonix, for the first time this season. Having the pleasure of working with smaller groups in both high school and college, I knew it was something I wanted to attempt and was bound to enjoy if given the opportunity. Luckily, I was correct. I performed as a member of Harmonix for the first time last week at an event held for the Council of Women’s Realtors here in St. Louis. Our appearance went wonderfully. The ladies and gentlemen in the audience were very enthusiastic and welcoming. Now I look forward to our next performance at JJ’s Clubhouse this Thursday as we open up the Show Me Bears’ Hibearnation festivities.

I’ve also been given my first Chorus Buddy! Devin is very excited about his first concert with the Gateway Men’s Chorus, and it’s my job to make sure that he gets his concert gear in order, is comfortable with his music, and remembers people’s names (though we all forget a few now and then).

Another exciting first, I’ve been given my first solo. It’s full of cheese, holiday excitement and country twang (three of my completely non-guilty pleasures). I can’t wait for all of you to hear it!

Being a newcomer to the Gateway Men’s Chorus, this year has been an exciting one for me. I have a reflection on how the weekly rehearsals are going. The Chorus is sounding awesome as a group. We are going to perform an awesome set of music for the Holiday Hit Parade Christmas concert. Please mark your calendars for December 11 and 12 at the Edison Theatre on the campus of Washington University. Christ Church Cathedral

Last evening the Gateway Men’s Chorus performed the Evensong worship service at Christ Church Cathedral. The performance by the Chorus was a huge success. The reception following was well received. The Chorus had positive feedback from the congregation attending, also. Please join us for upcoming performances in November at the Women’s Council of Realtors in Westport on November 5, 2009 and at Metropolitan Community Church of Greater St. Louis in Soulard on November 20, 2009 for Intamacies.
